Wow, we're in the final throes of preparation! We've started loading the trailer; the bathroom supplies are in . . and as I'm typing this, Frank is starting to load up the kitchen supplies. Clothes will be ready in the next day or two!
We have a couple of new electronic toys that need to be figured out prior to departure; a new GPS with Mexico maps and a dashboard video camera/recorder! Fun and games!!
Once this is done, the Christmas decorations and lights will come down and be stored away for another year. Ohh, still much to do . . better get busy!!

Had the truck checked over and good to go . . needed new shocks The trailer has also been checked and brakes adjusted . . we should notice a difference apparently. Interesting . . because we didn't realize there was a problem.
Frank's out buying snow chains today. No . . we have absolutely no intention of using them but we need to be legal crossing some of the mountain passes on the way down and in the event we get caught in adverse weather we will have them on hand. Can't even imagine putting the chains on while connected to our 30' fifth wheel. Ugh!!
Anyway, the time is fast approaching; we've renewed our passports and received them; we're having our wills redone next week (reality, you know!) and soon we'll be starting to pack the trailer. Wow, hard to believe only five weeks to departure!

The planning has begun for our epic adventure down the Baja peninsula. So much preparation!
At this point, we have new brakes for the truck and new tires for both the truck and trailer. Next, we'll have the truck and trailer mechanically checked over. We're not anticipating any problems.
The house/dogsitter is organized, there are maps spread out every night. I'm burning up the internet looking up places to see and stay.
As we get closer to our departure date, the reality of the adventure is setting in!
Share our adventure with us, I'm sure there will be a few interesting stories.
